This amazing piece is an antique, most likely late 19th century, in an art nouveau design. Silver tone metal (not marked) and once coated with a gold tone, it is meant for a chatelaine. This little holder would hold paper and has a pencil that fits in it for quick note taking. Double sided floral designs. Really beautiful and so cool! It measures about 3" by 2".
