This amazing piece of carved Celadon Jade measures 3" wide by 2-1/2" tall. Carved into the likeness of a butterfly (or moth) with flowers. It is carved on both sides, it is difficult to say when this piece would have been made. A laborious process, these pieces hold great significance and were often used for ceremonies or fine decorations. There are some natural variations in the stone, including veins. There are no visible cracks or other known issues.
